HBFT Highlighted Among Hawaii’s Exemplary Separated Facilities for Safe Walking, Cycling and Rolling
September 18, 2025 The Hilo Bayfront Trails was one of several exemplary separated trail networks in the State cited by the Hawai’i Bicycle League in their response to Governor Green’s Executive Order No. 25-08 Establishing a Comprehensive Framework for Statewide Traffic and Roadway Safety. Their response notes that such separated facilities demonstrate the transformative potential of multi-use paths to provide safe, healthy and resilient transportation options.
